The commission reviews plans submitted by developers, businesses and organizations, holds public hearings and makes recommendations to City Council. This public body is often among the first to see potential development proposed in El Mirage. Positions have either a one-year term or a two-year term.
The most recent application period for Commissioner applications closed Monday, May 17, 2021 by 5 p.m.
Applications are reviewed by a subcommittee of the City Council who make recommendations for approval by the entire Council. Finalists also go through an interview process.
